XYLA

To be eligible for Monaro for weight loss, you must engage with weight management support, provided by XYLA.

Without this support you would be at risk of side-effects such as malnutrition and muscle loss. By engaging in weight management support you are also more likely to be successful on your weight loss journey.

Mounjaro process at Moatfield

 

You will be sent a text message with a provisional date of your 1st group session, and a questionnaire for you to let us know if you would like to receive Mounjaro for weight loss.

At the 1st session

  • Your clinician will answer any questions you may have
  • Discuss the essential XYLA engagement
  • Check your baseline weight so we can track your weight loss
  • Provide you with needles and sharps bins
  • Support you in administering your 1st Mounjaro injection

We must check your weight at every appointment, if at 6 months you have not lost 5% of your body weight, you will not be able to continue Mounjaro but can consider alternative weight loss support options

Further group sessions will be held every 4 weeks, and you must continue to attend while your dose continues to be increased. These appointments will allow us to review any side-effects/questions/concerns, and monitor your blood pressure. Some of your medication may be able to be stopped as you continue to lose weight.
