Afternoon Closure

On Wednesday 15th October, we will be closed from 12.30 pm for Essential Staff Training.

For routine issues, please contact us when we reopen on 16th October.

For urgent issues, you can call the Urgent GP Service on 01273 698088 or call NHS 111.

What is Essential Training and Why do you have it?

Each year, the Intergrated Care Board (ICB) sends us several dates on which all practices in the local area must close for the afternoon to participate in "Protected Learning Time". 

This is why you may notice the local Modality Practices are also closed on the same afternoons as we are. 

Some of these afternoons are for practice-organised training, while others are for collaborative training with the other practices in the East Grinstead Primary Care Network (PCN)

In 2025, we have used this time for:

  • April - Dementia Awareness Training
  • July - Collaborative Session with Modality Mid Sussex: Updates from QVH, Rapid Health Discussions, Learning Disability Awareness Training.
  • October - Basic Life Support Training and practicing our Emergency Procedures.
