Pre-Paid Prescriptions

It is sometimes worthwhile to buy a prescription pre-payment certificate. You can apply online or contact the number on the back of your repeat prescription slip.

You can apply for a 3-month Certicficate, or a 12-month Certificate. These cover all NHS Prescriptions during that timeframe.

HRT Pre-payment Certificates

If you are currently prescribed hormone replacement therapy (HRT) medication, The NHS now offers an HRT prepayment certificate.

For your certificate to cover your HRT medication, you MUST order your repeat HRT prescriptions separately from other medication(s) as pharmacies cannot correctly process this if on the same prescription.

If you have any questions, please speak to your community pharmacy team.
