IT & Data Team
What does the IT & Data Team do?
Our IT & Data Team is the smallest team in our practice, made up of the IT & Data Manager, and the Information Support Administrator.
This team provides essential first line IT Support to our practice staff, liaising with service desks for all our software and systems.
Here are some of the 2024 stats for our IT & Data Team...

22 Accounts set up
for new members of staff, locums and administrative support users.

197 Cases Raised
with our IT Service Desk, who maintain our hardware such as printers and computers.

77 Cases raised
with our Clinical System, which holds all our electronic patient records.
The IT & Data team are also responsible for the running of a variety of scheduled tasks and reports.
Some of these are to help us stay compliant with various regulations, such as Data Security Checks and maintaining the Mandatory Training Records for all staff members.
Others help with the day to day running of the practice, such as running reports to determine fair allocation of patients among our GP lists.
In the modern age, having an online presence helps us to connect with more of our patient population, and share important news and information in an instant.
We don't just share updates about the surgery, but also about general health and wellbeing.
This information is shared via our Social Media Platforms; Facebook and X, and our Practice Website, all of which are maintained by our IT & Data Team.
In 2023, our following on Facebook doubled, enabling us to share up-to-the-minute updates about all things Moatfield Surgery, including any service disruptions, or changes to our system!
